Cut your VINLEC bill.
Never lose power.
A Solar-First system runs your home on sun and battery by default — and switches to VINLEC automatically the moment you'd actually need it. No blackouts, no oversized battery bank, no guesswork.
One system, three sources, zero interruption.
Your home draws from the cheapest, cleanest source available at every moment of the day — and VINLEC only steps in as the safety net, not the default.
Solar powers everything
Panels run your home directly through the day and fully recharge the battery bank before sundown.
Battery carries the night
EG4 lithium storage runs your home silently overnight — sized to your actual night-shift load, not your whole day.
VINLEC catches the rest
If a run of storms drains the battery below a safe threshold, the inverter's built-in transfer switch flips to grid power instantly. Lights don't flicker.
Most homes don't need a bigger battery. They need a smarter one.
Because VINLEC is your backup, you only need enough battery to comfortably cover the night — not four rainy days in a row.

SOLAR ARRAY FORMULA
18 × 1.25 = 22.5 kWh needed → 22.5 ÷ 5.2 = 4.32 kW array → ≈10 panels at 450W.
Everything is native 230V, hurricane-rated, and closed-loop.
All EG4 electronics — chosen for reliability in tropical heat, humidity and Caribbean grid conditions.
EG4 18kPV All-in-One Hybrid
Best for standard-to-large homes and small businesses. Pulls a clean single-phase line to a standard SVG breaker panel and handles heavy AC surge loads with ease.

Unlike lead-acid or gel, these can be drained completely without damage — and are rated for 10–15+ years of daily cycling.
400–450W Monocrystalline
Heavy-duty aluminum frames and tempered glass, engineered for high wind loads and marine salt air — paired with proper hurricane racking.

Pre-terminated 2/0–4/0 AWG battery cables and 200–250A fuse blocks. Order these with your main solar pieces so nothing gets stuck at the Miami dock.

Native 230V single-phase
No step-down transformers or workarounds — output matches SVG's standard breaker panel and appliances directly.
Hurricane and humidity rated
Tier-1 panels rated for high wind loads; batteries and inverters installed indoors, away from salty sea breeze and moisture.
0% duty on solar equipment
SVG's clean energy provisions generally exempt panels and inverters from customs duty — you pay standard 16% VAT.
No blackout during outages
Unlike grid-tied systems that shut off for safety, this hybrid setup keeps running independently through a VINLEC outage.
Signature Solar ships to Miami. Your freight forwarder brings it home.
This is a well-worn path — thousands of us Vincentians use it every month.
Get a Miami forwarding address
Sign up with a freight forwarder (e.g. a Miami-based ocean cargo service) before you order. They'll issue you a personal Florida delivery address.
Check out with that address
Use your forwarder's address as shipping; your own billing details stay on the payment method. Order your inverter, batteries, and fittings like cables and fuses together in one shipment.
Choose ocean freight, pre-alert your forwarder
Solar equipment is heavy — sea cargo, not air. Upload your invoice to your forwarder's portal so they can clear US export customs.
Clear SVG customs
Invoice everything together as a "complete solar setup" so it qualifies cleanly for renewable energy duty exemptions. A local Kingstown customs broker is worth the fee.
Pick up or forward to the Grenadines
Collect from the Kingstown warehouse, or have your forwarder route pallets onto the inter-island ferry for Bequia, Mustique, Canouan or Union Island.
This isn't theory. It's what's on my own wall right now.
I only recommend hardware I trust to protect my own home and investments — the battery bank running my home right now, EG4-LL and LifePower4 units in a single rack, came through Signature Solar and was freight-forwarded the same way outlined above.
They communicate directly with my inverter for fully automatic charging and night-shift discharge. When you buy the same rack and batteries through the links on this page, it's the exact hardware keeping my own lights on every night.

Straight answers before you buy.
Will this actually work with standard SVG appliances?
Yes. SVG's grid runs 230V single-phase at 50Hz. The recommended inverters output a native single-phase line matched to your standard local breaker panel — no converters needed.
Do I have to disconnect from VINLEC?
No — and you shouldn't. The system runs solar and battery first, with VINLEC wired in purely as an automatic backup that kicks in only if your battery drops below a safe threshold during extended storms.
Can the panels survive a hurricane?
The panels themselves are built for high wind and hail loads. Survival in a major storm comes down to using engineered aluminum racking bolted into rafters or a concrete slab — don't cut corners here.
How do the batteries handle tropical heat and humidity?
Install batteries, inverters and charge controllers indoors — a dry, ventilated utility closet or garage, off the ground, away from direct sun and salt air. That alone significantly extends their lifespan.
Does Signature Solar ship straight to SVG?
Not directly. You'll ship to a Miami freight forwarder first, who consolidates your pallets and sails them to Kingstown by ocean freight — see the full import walkthrough above.
What about customs duty and VAT?
Solar panels and inverters generally qualify for 0% customs duty under SVG's clean energy provisions. You'll typically pay the standard 16% VAT plus port handling — invoicing everything as one "complete system" helps it qualify cleanly.
What if something breaks — how do warranty claims work?
EG4 and Signature Solar offer multi-year warranties. For a physical replacement, you'd ship the faulty part back to your Miami forwarder for return to the US service center. Installing surge protection on both your solar and VINLEC lines helps avoid this entirely.
Stop guessing. Start building your system.
